Lower Elementary

December 16, 2021

From the Lower Elementary Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents,

It is very hard to believe that our school days in 2021 have come to an end. We hope that this first half of the school year has been a rewarding one for your children. Our students and teachers have worked very hard and they are all most deserving of a well-earned holiday. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Monday, January 3, 2022.

This last week of school before Winter Break has most definitely been a busy one. On Wednesday, December 15 we celebrated Qatar National Day in the Lower Elementary School by engaging our students from Pre-K to Grade 2 in Qatari themed learning experiences in their Homeroom and Specialist classes. Students were invited to wear Qatari colors and we were happy to see so many students and teachers dressed in Qatari colors on Wednesday. Our hallways were also decked with flags to celebrate Qatar National Day. Happy Qatar National Day to all our Qatari community members.

Winter Break celebrations were also held at every grade level on Thursday, December 16. This was a great way to celebrate all our learning during the first half of the school year. Happy holidays everyone.

From our School Community

The 18th of December, what an amazing date… On this day, Qataris decorate their cars and houses by putting on the national flag or other patriotic symbols. The country's flag is a unique combination of national identity and pride, a symbol of significance and belonging. National Day is an annual reminder of the country's core values, loyalty, solidarity and pride.

Like every year AMA with the collaboration with Al Fardan Group, decorated ASD with the two combined valuable colors, to let the students feel the importance of this day, and refresh their loyalty to this generous country.

On behalf of AMA we would like to congratulate the Arabic communities and all the expatriates and wishing a peaceful Holiday.

AMA Committee would like to thank “Brain Education” for a very inspiring and enlightening speech session for last Sunday conducted by Master Maz. His words and experiences are very strong and powerful that made us understand ourselves more and better and it can really help us in our everyday lives.

We will have another session with different topics this coming year and we encourage everyone to join us then as it is very worth it!

The link for the whole session will be shared with you soon.
