DragonCards

DragonCards are used for campus security access, all purchasing in ASD cafeterias and for other purchases such as yearbooks, field trips, library fines, instrument rental, and collection of laptop tech fees.

All Elementary, Middle and High School students and their parents have been issued identification DragonCards.

Accounts are established for each family, with all family members linked to the same Family ID number. However, each family member has an individual account within this family ID. All family members accounts can be topped up either by logging in with the Family ID and assigning money to individual family members or individuals may top up their own account within the family at a kiosk.

Example: the primary account (typically the father’s info) tops up 1000QR to their account. That 1000QR can now be transferred to other individual accounts within the family or an individual can add money to their account directly at the kiosk with their DragonCard.

To top up your DragonCard account, please use the kiosks located in the Main Reception Central Administration, the Middle/High School Cafeteria, or the online portal at (https://dragoncard.asd.edu.qa/).


New Parent Information:

ID Cards (DragonCard)

In order to have your child(ren) DragonCard available when they start school, a recent passport size photograph must be submitted for each accepted student as well as his/her parents.

The photo must be in JPG file format and be no larger than 800 KB in size.

Please send photos via email to admissions@asd.edu.qa. Please make sure that the person’s full name is included in the file name.

DragonCard Account

Accounts can be managed and viewed online (DragonCard Online). The default login will be your family number. Online you will be able to view all the deposits and the purchases that were made by each individual.

You will also be able to top up your account and establish guidelines for different family members, such as setting daily spending limits or low balance alerts by individual or restricting the purchase of certain foods.

Lost or Damaged DragonCard

DragonCards can be replaced by visiting the Main Reception Desk in the Central Administration building for a cost of QR 50.

If the old DragonCard is found after a replacement card has been issued, a cost of QR 40 will be charged to reactivate the old card, provided the DragonCard is in good condition has a recent school photo.

Domestic Worker ID

Application forms must be completed in order to have your domestic worker allowed to enter campus and pick up your child(ren). If you have more than one domestic worker, you will need to fill out the application form for each one who will need access to the campus.

There will be a QR 50 charge for each ID issued. Please send the following information to reception@asd.edu.qa:

  • DragonCard Application form
  • Copy of domestic worker’s passport
  • Copy of domestic worker’s Qatar ID (front and back)
  • Domestic worker’s photo in jpg file format; no larger than 800 KB in size


Withdrawing from ASD

When a student withdraws from ASD, the student’s DragonCard and the parents’ DragonCards must be returned to ASD. Any available account balance will be refunded.
