Board of Directors

Dear ASD Community,

I am honored to have received the vote of confidence from my Board of Directors colleagues to be the next ASD Board Chair. I am taking over from Tom Mc Hale who has served tirelessly on the Board since 2012. Tom has been a great champion for the school and a great leader for the Board, and I want to thank Tom for everything he has done to help make ASD the great school it is today.

I have been on the Board for almost a year and a half and have been nothing but impressed by the great efforts that ASD Director Steve Razidlo and ASD’s leadership team, faculty, and staff have made in a very difficult pandemic situation to ensure ASD students continue to receive the best education possible in Qatar. I also take great pride in being a member of a very diligent Board that provides great guidance to ASD. We all take significant time from our work and personal commitments to ensure we provide all the support required to make ASD the premier international school in Qatar.

As I do in my corporate life, I am a big believer in continuous improvement as all great institutions need to identify how they can get even better. As Board Chair, I look forward to working with the Trustees, my Board colleagues, and the ASD leadership team to identify opportunities to ensure the school continues to provide the best possible American curriculum education to the diverse ASD student population. I also look forward to interacting with the broader ASD community to receive feedback that can help the school in its continuous improvement journey.
