Lower Elementary Counseling

Greetings from the Lower Elementary School Counseling Team,

We are so happy to welcome you to school after summer vacation. We have an exciting learning year ahead for the students.

My name is Zoë Gare, and I am a counselor in LES. I have been at ASD for eleven years and enjoy working with students, families, and teachers here in our compassionate community. Previous at ASD I have worked in international schools across the world as well as a range of educational establishments in my home country of Scotland.

My name is Demetrise Brown, and I am a counselor in LES. This is my first year at ASD. I am excited to engage and support students and families in the ASD community. Prior to joining ASD, I worked as a school counselor in China for 3 years. I have also worked in the field of education in my home country of the United States.

We look forward to helping your children further develop in following the ASD values of Respect, Honesty, Responsibility, and Compassion. The learning and development of the four domains (Personal/Social, Global Perspective, Academic, and Career) of the guidance curriculum (International School Counselor Association) are delivered twice monthly to all students in an engaging, dynamic program.

In addition, we provide small group and individual learning for students and counseling to support the well-being of students.

Please do not hesitate to contact either of us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to working with you and appreciate the important partnership we share.

Sincerely,

The LES Counseling Team
